Preschool Prep
Our Preschool Prep Program serves as a starting place for those preparing to enter preschool, pre-K or Kindergarten in the coming months or years. Our center promotes learning through play, exploration, and developing the skills that will prepare children to enter preschools. In our centers, we have a common classroom that has been designed perfectly for circle time and group activities. Our program for preschool age children is designed to teach behaviors and skills essential to learning and decrease any interfering behaviors which may hinder their entry into traditional preschool settings. Our mock learning environments also serve to promote a variety of skills that also serve the home and other social settings such. We are excited to offer a full-day program for those who are looking to be preschool or kinder ready.
Homeschool ABA Learning Cohorts
We are also happy to provide an alternative learning environment for those who are home-schooled or engage in independent online learning and also receive or will receive ABA. We offer wrap-around services to home or online learning for those students by providing a social environment where learning, exploration, and growth are our core goals. We provide a collaborative learning environment as well that promotes interaction with peers and support from behavior technicians. We work with your child’s program to teach the skills necessary for increased independence across learning environments; whether the goal is to re-enter the traditional classroom at some point or to remain in a home or online learning environment. Either way, we are here to support and encourage skill development and independence. In addition, we are excited to be a multi-disciplinary clinic and offer speech and language pathology services and occupational therapy as well. Our programs may be full-day or partial-day support depending on need,
Daily Living Development Program
At DV Therapy, one of our core goals is to ensure that we are supporting you and your child on their path to their potential. One of the key ways we support this is through our Daily Living Development Program. In this program at our center, we provide individuals with opportunities to practice life skills in our “mock” daily living environments to promote success and independence. For example, in our West Los Angeles location we have arranged environments such as….(LIST THESE) which support comfortable practice opportunities leading to increased independence. We are enrolling individuals aged x-y in this program now and look forward to speaking with and sharing more!
Home-Based Support
One of our core therapeutic supports is that of home-based ABA. In this model, we provide 1:1 support in the comfort of your home for the hours that have been recommended by your child’s supervisor. In this setting, we may teach a variety of skills such as social communication, social and communicative reciprocity, play-based engagement, flexibility with daily routines, all the while aiming to reduce any behaviors which may be interfering with their independence. In this model, we may also support community outings with you and your child to ensure teaching occurs in the environments where it is needed most.
School-Based Support
We are happy to support your child as they navigate through their school years in public or private schools. Partnering with school districts to ensure the success of every child is a key to your child’s success. We are happy to provide 1:1 behavior support and/or consultation with your child’s school team. These services are funded by your child’s school in most cases. Reach out to learn more about how we may support.
